Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce solutions.

• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance eCommerce applications following Magento best practices.

• Develop and customize Magento 2 modules, extensions, APIs, and third-party integrations.

• Build, customize, and optimize Hyvä Theme storefronts using Tailwind CSS and Alpine.js to deliver fast, modern user experiences.

• Lead migration projects from Luma to Hyvä Theme, ensuring compatibility and performance improvements.

• Review code, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Design and implement REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and integrations with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping providers, and other third-party services.

• Optimize application performance, database queries, indexing, caching (Redis/Varnish), and Core Web Vitals.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.

• Plan technical architecture, estimate development efforts, and participate in solution design discussions.

• Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, Git workflows, and CI/CD best practices.

• Stay updated with the latest Magento, Adobe Commerce, Hyvä, and eCommerce industry trends, recommending improvements where applicable.

• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, deployment strategies, and application scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or related field.

• 2–3 years of experience with Magento 2 (internships, projects, or professional).

• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.

• Understanding of MVC frameworks, OOP concepts, and REST APIs.

• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

• Eagerness to learn and grow in Magento development.

Good to Have

• Magento certification.

• Experience with Linux command line.

• Exposure to eCommerce workflows.
